It blends so well... like.... it’s vitamix quality, people. I’ve been using it exclusively for the past few weeks and have made nut mylk, cashew queso, and smoothies and it’s amazing. There’s also a soup setting and I can’t wait to use it.

Instagram post 2135056074850768947_3522077873 As many of you know - I’m a gluten-free gal 🤠 and I have been ~mostly~ for about 20 years (before it was cool hehe). Since I was little, gluten-containing grains have given me major headaches - I would hesitate to say migraine, but sometimes it feels like it. I also usually get these massive dark circles under my eyes - and not just your regular old circles... they’re purple and look like I got punched square in the nose. My mom used to catch me after I had snuck gluten bc my eyes would be so dark - she’d always make me go look in the mirror and decide if I actually wanted to lie to her about sneaking gluten 🙄

Back then, nobody knew what gluten was!! Most adults asked me if I meant glucose 🤦🏼‍♀️. We had to special order frozen gluten-free food because nobody sold it in stores in the 90s/early 2000s. I always felt left out in middle school because I couldn’t join in on a pizza party or had to bring my own lousy gluten-free crust lol. There were years I just decided to not be gf because I wanted to fit in.

Now, I’m super grateful for having known it was an issue for me because it’s led me to be a little more mindful about the foods I eat and what foods aren’t great for me. My stomach is pretty sensitive and doesn’t like dairy, corn, or most grains, so I often have to be creative.
.
My fave bread is hands down @joseybakerbread (not an ad) but just bc I love their adventure bread that is naturally gf/vegan and has tons of whole nuts and seeds blended in (zoooom). PLUS it doesn’t hurt my tummy 🎉 My dear friend Phoebe made me an massive homemade loaf of it +  gave me one of her ripe avos- if that’s not my love language I don’t know what is 🥰

Listen to your stomach & your body to see if certain foods can be triggers for you. Everybody is different, so what works for you might not work for your bestie, and vice versa!

I encourage you to tune into your body today and ask what it needs, and also what it DOESN’T need! Both can be equally powerful 💛💪🏼

the amount of you who reached out yesterday after my story posts about taking a break from social media + reorienting my health + relationship with food was so encouraging to me and reminded me of what amazing community LR has brought me. I’d love to share more about this time and some diet changes that have occurred over the past 3 months, but I think I still need a little time to gather my thoughts and put them into writing. so much love to everyone here ♥️♥️♥️

Instagram post 2071212483628483399_3522077873 ICYMI: my 26th birthday was last Saturday & I threw “Brittyn’s @Brandlesslife Birthday Brunch Bash” 😆 (try saying that 5 times fast) with a full Brandless waffle bar starring their gf waffle/pancake mix (made vegan with almond milk and ground flax might I add!). 🌿
To get the fun colors I just mixed in 2-3 tbsp of cacao powder for the chocolate and blended up 1/2 frozen beet + some fresh strawberries & mixed it in (be sure to decrease the almond milk for this one!). It was a beautiful day filled with amazing friends (not to mention some of my pals I’ve made through Brandless!)
