My love for plant-based nutrition began in my first year of dietetic school. This was the first time I had ever considered a meal without an animal-based product. Since this time, I have become passionate about advocating for plant-based nutrition in the prevention, treatment, and reversal of disease. Research consistently shows that a whole food, plant-based diet can not only prevent heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and other diseases, but it can actually completely reverse it. Along with these healthful impacts, the environmental impacts from a plant-based diet are unmatchable.
